A retail space for the world’s biggest Zara in Rotterdam

We were invited to create a special retail space within Zara’s biggest retail space; a five floor building located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Occupying a large part of the first floor, our permanent design creates a hybrid space-within-a-space.

A backlit metallic grid marks a visual boundary between our ‘quarry’-like space and the rest of the store. Wrapped by a thick wall, geometric blocks and shapes in mute, natural tones define divisions within the space to present products, unified by a series of bright light panels hanging above.

A unique design palette is used to distinguish between the urban collection, which uses articulated fixtures and glass, natural stone and stainless steel, and the sports collection, which features black steel and rubber with more industrial fixtures.

The social area is a clean, bright space where visitors can sit in two raised seating areas.
