A Wind Installation for C.P. Company at Galeries Lafayette

To showcase C.P. Company’s latest GORE-TEX® jacket, we were commissioned to create a Living Space for a two-week pop-up at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées.

Our installation takes the form of an industrial testing facility that puts the windproof qualities of the garment on display by setting the jackets in motion using electric fans.

Situated at the top of the ornamental staircase of the historic building,
the contrasting laboratory-like aesthetic of the testing cabin is a nod to C.P. Company’s textile innovation, rendered with a minimalist aluminium gridded frame with a transparent glass front.

Two GORE-TEX® jackets from the FW024 line are suspended in the centre of the structure spotlighting the unique design elements of the product with bright, clinical overhead light panels: the contrast taped seams, both variations of the reversible garment and the vibrant colours achieved by the brand’s pioneering approach to fabric dyeing.

To bring the jacket’s weather-resistant performance to life, the garments are animated by a continuous strong gust of wind blowing from steel electric fans situated under a loop of white fabric framing the product display.

Mimicking the test mechanism used to pilot tents, the installation creates a dynamic interplay of stillness and motion; the jackets are inflated yet remain static while the white fabric billows around them, demonstrating their windproof qualities. Images from the campaign
adorn the reverse side of the testing cabin, showing the jacket from multiple perspectives.
