SANDRO x Louise Bourgeois Capsule Collection launch in Paris
To celebrate SANDRO’s new capsule collection, we created a store takeover at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris. Based on three textile works by iconic French artist Louise Bourgeois, the brand created a collection inspired by the artist’s signature spirals and her innovative re-use of fabric, reimagining them across a range of garments.
We translated this approach into our main design principle, playing out her notion of “deconstructing to better reconstruct” through a series of spatial interventions.
The 11 windows showcase dynamic, spatial variations of the artist’s spirals. Adding a physical layer of reinterpretation to the design, strategically-placed mirror installations reflect and refract the patterns into new kaleidoscopic formations. Elsewhere the focus is more kinetic, honing in on the movement of the material to set the pattern in motion.

Inside, the white, minimalist design of the pop-up invites visitors into a serene, gallery-like space that contrasts with the bustling energy of the surrounding space and elevates the garments themselves into art. At the entrance, large mirror displays invite visitors into a kaleidoscopic experience, seamlessly merging the worlds of SANDRO and Louise Bourgeois.

The mini boutique on the Woman’s Floor showcases the collection in an intimate space, using a series of niches, coves and walls to present garments. The spiral pattern is reflected further through the space using mirrors and mannequins.

Building upon our in-store exploration of Bourgeois' patterns and mirrors, we extended this concept into dynamic content for store screens and social media teasers, enhancing the brand's presence across channels.
